When 18, 000 youth are screaming at the top of their lungs, the energy is overwhelming. When the screams are out of passion to change the world, it can only mean one thing: We Day Toronto.

“I was here a couple years ago with my brothers and we were so thankful to be a part of this,” said We Day host Joe Jonas. “I feed off their energy and that’s the best way. It’s what makes me want to jump up and down!”

On September 27th, North American student leaders, world-renowned artists and motivational speakers united to spark positive change for We Day. It’s an event held by the organization “Free the Children” and their partnered social enterprise “Me to We”.

The excitement kept building as artists like Classified, Nelly Fortado and City and Colour performed. And speakers like Rick Hansen and the Degrassi Cast inspired. And of the charismatic hosts Joe Jonas and Nina Dobrev kept the crowd on their feet!

To see the highlights of We Day, don’t miss the Muchmusic special on October 30th at 7pm (EST) or again at 10pm!

We Day is about inspiring and letting youth know they have the power to make change. It’s so much more than a day-long event, it’s a movement. And as Craig Kielburger, founder of “Free the Children” stated, “We Day is the movement of our time.”
