Vow of Silence

Come down, join Free The Children and meet Me To We speaker and ex-child soldier Michel Chikwanine on Sunday, November 13 at Yonge-Dundas Square in Toronto and be part of the organization’s Vow of Silence.

Free the Children - The Vow of Silence

Watch as more than a hundred local youth (Mob)ilizers stand in solidarity with children who are silenced by poverty, disease and exploitation. While there, take your picture in the Vow of Silence photo booth to share with your Facebook friends and experience an interactive Wall of Silence by signing up to take action.

The Vow of Silence is Free The Children‘s annual campaign that engages tens of thousands of youth just like you, to stand up for children whose rights are not being upheld. On November 30, 2011, young people will go silent for 24 hours in solidarity with children who are being silenced by poverty and exploitation. For Vow participants, being silent can mean refraining from speaking. It can also mean not using email, Facebook, Twitter or text messaging. It can even mean not using hand gestures, note writing or any communication at all.

Join thousands of your peers who are taking the Vow and taking action. Even celebrities like Nina Dobrev and Joe Jonas, are showing their support for the Vow of Silence with Free The Children – watch them and others in the video.

So bring your friends and join Free The Children and hundreds of youth (Mob)ilizers on November 13 at Yonge-Dundas Square – to show your support, sign up and get involved.
