Prom Skin Answers

QUESTION:
I am prone to bad breakouts and I’m worried that I will have a lot of zits for prom.  How can I stop this from happening?

ANSWER:

First make sure you have a good cleansing regime. You should be washing your face twice a day with a mild acne cleanser with salicylic acid like Biore blemish fighting ice cleanser. Try also over the counter products with benzoyl peroide in addition to your acne cleaner. Use small pea sized amounts on affected areas and leave overnight. Give this 4 weeks. If you do not see improvement, a visit to a Dermatologist is in order, you may need prescription creams. Give yourself several months to get you acne under control. Great results often don’t occur in a few weeks

QUESTION:
Hi, please I need advise for the kind of product I should use so that My skin looks as good as it can for prom. Im latina and I used to get a lot of pimples, but now I use the snail cream, and i dont get as much as before.

ANSWER:
If your acne is under control it is best not to do anything to aggressive or change your routine too much. I often recommend a mild exfoliation or a mask to try and remove some dead skins which can give you glow. Try Biore warm heating mask for several days before the prom.

QUESTION:
I have noticed my skin getting worse with pimples that are hard to get rid off. they are around my lower cheek and jaw. What’s up with that? What can i do to make them go away before prom?

ANSWER:
Give yourself several weeks as acne does not improve in just a few days. Try using an acne wash to start something with Salicylic acid twice daily. Stay away from any oily makeup. Topical benzoyl peroide in a low percentage 4 or 5 percent would be the next step. Use it very sparingly, a pea size to do the whole area only at night. Do not just apply to pimples only. If you become dry use benzoyl peroxide alternate night only and be patient. If this does not work see your doctor.
