“Kao Brands Invite a Friend” Contest
The Contest Period starts at 12h01 am on April 7th, 2008 and continues until 11h59 pm on May 31st, 2008 (the Contest Closing Date). All times are Eastern Times.
No purchase or payment is necessary to enter the Contest.
To enter the Contest, Vervegirl members must get 5 (five) friends to join Vervegirl.com and become members to gain one entry into the contest. Contest site at: www.bzone.cavervegirl.com/promcouncil (this will include entering your ID and password). If you don't have an ID, you must sign up for one to enter the Contest - directions for obtaining an ID are available at point of entry. All required fields need to be completed in order to be eligible to win the prize.
Five (5) successful new members and completing the required fields in Vervegirl’s member profile form The submission of the on-line entry form constitutes an "Entry".
No limit of Entries per ID during the Contest Period.
Entries received online shall be deemed to be submitted by the holder of the ID account.
All Entries must be submitted by the Contest Closing Date.
Entries will only be accepted on-line and no Entries will be accepted by any other means, including but not limited to regular postal mail.
THE DRAW: On or around May 31st, 2008 (the Draw Date) at the head office of Youth Culture Group, located at 245-401 Richmond Street West, Toronto, Ontario, one Entry will be randomly selected by a representative of Youth Culture Group from among all Entries received during the Entry Period.
The selected entrants will be notified by email within seven (7) days of the Draw Date at the email address indicated on their ID account form. If a selected entrant cannot be contacted within seven (7) days, the Entry is null and void and another entrant will be randomly selected from the remaining Ballots.
Before a selected entrant is declared the winner of the Contest, he or she must answer a time limited, mathematical skill-testing question to be administered by telephone at a mutually convenient time, and must sign a contest eligibility and liability/publicity release as specified by the Contest Sponsors. If the selected entrant's telephone number is not on file, a Youth Culture representative will request it via email at time the selected entrant is notified that he or she was selected in the Contest draw.
THE PRIZE: Entrants are eligible to win one of three (3) Prom Packs that may include one or all of the following products: Jergens, John Frieda and Biore, having an approximate retail value of $100.
This contest is open to residents of Canada who are between age thirteen to nineteen (13-19) in their province or territory of residence, except residents of Quebec and except employees of, or members of the immediate family of, or persons domiciled with an employee of the Contest Sponsors, their agents, parent, affiliated or related companies, subsidiaries, divisions and promotional agencies, are ineligible. Proof of identification must be provided upon request. If the winner of the Contest is under the age of majority, the Prize must be accepted by his or her parent or legal guardian.
Entries submitted will be kept by the Contest Sponsors for judging purposes until the Contest Closing Date. Please see Sponsors’ Privacy Policy at www.vervegirl.com for information on its policy towards maintaining the privacy and security of user information.
All Application Forms and Entries become the property of the Contest Sponsors who assume no responsibility for incorrect or inaccurate capture of application information, technical malfunctions, human or technical error, printing errors, lost, delayed or garbled data or transmissions, omission, interruption, deletion, defect or failures of any telephone or computer line or network, computer equipment, software or any combination thereof.
Application materials/data that have been tampered with or altered are void. Contest Sponsors shall not be held responsible for any errors or negligence that may arise or occur in connection with the Contest including any damage to an entrant’s computer equipment, system, software or any combination thereof, as a result of their participation in this Contest. All decisions of the Contest Sponsors are final in all matters as they relate to this Contest.
In order to be a selected the winner of the Contest, he or she must, within seven (7) days of being contacted, complete and return to the Sponsors a contest eligibility and liability/publicity release (a “Waiver of Liability Form”) confirming compliance with these rules and regulations (the “Contest Rules”), releasing the Sponsors and their respective directors, officers and agents from all liability and, except where prohibited by law, permitting the Sponsors to use the selected entrant’s name, address (city and province) and image, without compensation, worldwide and in perpetuity, in any and all forms of media now known or hereafter devised, including the Internet, in any publicity carried out by the Sponsors. If the selected entrant is under the age of majority, the Waiver of Liability Form must be signed and submitted by his or her parent or legal guardian. Youth Culture Group has the sole authority and discretion to determine whether a Waiver of Liability Form has been properly executed and has the sole authority and discretion to accept or refuse a Waiver of Liability Form that has not been properly executed.
No correspondence will be entered into, except with selected entrants.
Youth Culture Group, www.vervegirl.com, and (together, the “Sponsors”), their affiliates, franchisees and each of their directors, officers, employees and agents are not in any way responsible for any lost, misplaced, destroyed, delayed, misdirected or undelivered Entries.
In the event of a dispute regarding who submitted an on-line Entry, the Entry will be deemed submitted by the holder of the e-mail account.
The odds of winning the Contest are dependent on the total number of eligible Entries received.
The Contest is subject to the applicable legislation and regulations of Canada and the relevant province(s) or territory (territories) and is void where prohibited.
All decisions of the Contest Judges are final and cannot be reviewed or in any way appealed. Awards to successful Candidates have no cash surrender value. The Sponsors reserve the right to make reasonable substitutions for all or any portion of the Prizes.
The Contest Sponsors reserve the right to withdraw, amend, terminate or suspend in whole or in part this Contest at any time without prior notice and without liability.
By completing the Application Form, consent is given to the collection, use and distribution of the personal information disclosed, by the Sponsors for the purposes of running the Contest (information is stored for approximately 1 year). Sponsors will not sell or transmit this information to third parties except for the purposes of administering the Contest. Any inquiry concerning the personal information held by the Sponsors should be addressed to the Sponsors.
The
following definitions apply throughout the Contest Rules. Where
words are defined in the singular, the plural of that word has a
comparable meaning; where words are defined in the plural, the
singular form of that word has a comparable meaning. The possessive
form of a word also has a comparable meaning to that word.
(a)
"Application Form", or "Application" means the
form completed and submitted on the Web site www.vervegirl.com;
(b) “Candidate” means the person whose name and applicable
personal information are entered on a Application Form and
"Successful Candidate" means a Candidate who has been
chosen to be a Contest Winner;
(c) "Sponsors or Contest
Sponsors" means Youth Culture Inc., its publications and the
media and promotional partners of Youth Culture Inc., and each of
their respective affiliates, directors, officers, employees and
agents.
