This is their time to shine.” Ebonnie Rowe

Congratulations to Ebonnie Rowe and all the performers on another successful Honey Jam Showcase. This year’s recipient of the Honey Jam Hook Up Prize Pack is Leah Daniels. Who will be showered with a photo shoot by Vincent Lions, (who was Ontario’s Vervegirl Fresh Face Photographer), a hair makeover by Adrian Carew of Hair2Inc, and she’ll be even more fit with her membership compliments of Think Fitness, who wouldn’t notice this girl? Leah is going to sound incredible (not that she already doesn’t) with her new equipment from Yamaha and her track produced by Solitair with the help of FLOW productions. We wish Leah all the best during her consultation with Universal Music Canada. Good luck girl!
Ebonnie Rowe and the Phem Phat crew have done it again! With 22 stellar performances you couldn’t help but jump around and dance to the amazing music. Honey Jam featured a variety of different talents and genres ranging from reggae to country to jazz and even some electro-pop. The Mod club was packed with people who had fun, cheered for the ladies and showed support.

With talent scouts, A&R reps and producers scoping out new artists, the performers were on their A-game. For performers like Lynzie Kent who sang to the strumming of her father’s acoustic guitar, to Jaclyn Kenyon (Honey Jam’s youngest performer ever at 12 years old), everyone was there to catch a glimpse at future Canadian superstars.
Honey Jam’s sponsors were there in full effect to make the event happen. FLOW 93.5,,, the YWCA, Vervegirl Magazine and many others, including host Sarah Taylor from MuchMusic. Every contribution made a difference in making Honey Jam the success that it is.

For all the ladies who auditioned and performed in this year’s showcase, you guys all rocked it! Good luck in your future careers and we’ll be waiting in anticipation to see your progress. Special thanks to all the volunteers who helped out. We are so excited to see what’s in the works for the upcoming year.
