“göt2b on the guestlist Mobile Contest”

THIS CONTEST IS INTENDED FOR RESIDENTS OF CANADA ONLY (EXCLUDING RESIDENTS OF QUEBEC) AND WILL BE INTERPRETED ACCORDING TO CANADIAN LAW AND SUBJECT TO ALL CANADIAN FEDERAL, PROVINCIAL, MUNICIPAL AND LOCAL LAWS AND REGULATIONS. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.

  1. The “göt2b on the guestlist” Contest (the “Contest”) runs from March 1, 2012 at 12:01 a.m. [ET] to March 15, 2012 at 11:59 p.m. [ET] (the “Contest Period”). This Contest is run by the Youth Culture (“YC”) and sponsored by Henkel Consumer Goods Canada, Inc., collectively the “Contest Sponsors” and will take place in any province/territory within Canada (excluding Québec). Applications submitted will be kept by Youth Culture for prize selection.
  2. Eligibility Criteria: This Contest is open to all individuals who reside in any province/territory within Canada (excluding Québec) to individuals who are thirteen (13) years of age or older at the time of entering the Contest. Please note: potential winners who have not reached the age of majority in their province of residence must receive permission in writing by their parent or legal guardian in order to qualify as a potential prize winner. Individuals must read, accept, comply and will be bound by the Official Rules and Regulations of this Contest. Note: Employees of the Contest Sponsors, or persons domiciled with an employee of the Contest Sponsors, their agents, parent, affiliated or related companies, subsidiaries, divisions and promotional agencies, as well as members of the immediate family (such as their father, mother, brothers, sisters or children) of such employees, their legal or common-law spouses or any persons with whom such employees reside (whether related or not), and all government entities and/or public healthcare entities are not eligible to enter, or otherwise, to participate in this Contest. Proof of identification must be provided upon request. Prizes must be accepted by the parent or legal guardian of winners who are under the age of majority.
  3. Method of Entry: No purchase/payment is necessary to enter the Contest. To enter contest, text CELEB to 89863 – this will be included as an entry in the “göt2b on the guestlist” contest. The contest can also be entered by going online to www.vervegirl.com/got2b and completing an online entry form.
  4. Limit of Entries: There is a limit of one (1) Qualifying Entry per day of the Contest Period. A Qualifying Entry may be done by mobile number or online entry, but not both in one day. Mobile numbers will be collected at the time of entry.
  5. All valid and Qualifying Entries must be submitted during the Contest Period. Qualifying Entries received before or after the Contest Period are not valid and will be deemed as null and void.
  6. Skill Testing Question: Before a selected entrant is declared the winner of the Contest, he or she must answer a time limited, mathematical skill-testing question to be administered by the consent form.
  7. All Entries become the property of the Contest Sponsors who assume no responsibility for incorrect or inaccurate capture of submitted application information, technical malfunctions, human or technical error, printing errors, lost, delayed or garbled data or transmissions, omission, interruption, deletion, defect or failures of any telephone or computer line or network, computer equipment, software or any combination thereof.
  8. Entry materials/data that have been tampered with or altered are void. For the purposes of the Contest, the “Contest Group” is composed of the Contest Sponsors together with its affiliates, including without limitation its parent, sister and subsidiary companies, retailers, franchisees, advertising and promotion agencies, suppliers of material and services related to the Contest, and any other corporation, partnership, sole proprietorship or other legal entity directly involved in the Contest and their respective employees, agents, and representatives. The Contest Sponsor shall not be held responsible for any errors or negligence that may arise or occur in connection with the Contest including any damage to an entrant’s computer equipment, system, software or any combination thereof, as a result of their participation in this Contest. All decisions of the Contest Sponsors are final in all matters as they relate to this Contest.
  9. PRIZES: There will be a total of five(5) Prizes with each prize consisting of one (1) pair of screening tickets to see The Hunger Games. The Movie Screening is to take place on March 22, 2012 in the following cities: Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, Winnipeg, Toronto, Ottawa and Halifax. The five (5) Prizes will be allocated by province as follows: British Columbia (1) Prize; Alberta (2) Prizes; Manitoba (1) Prize; Ontario (2) Prizes; and, Nova Scotia (1) Prize. Each Prize will have an approximate retail value of $20.00 CDN.

    Transportation not provided to and from movie theatre location. All transportation to and from the rendezvous location are the sole responsibility of the Prize winner and his/her accompanying guest. The Prize winners and their guests must have the permission of their parent or legal guardian to participate. Prize winners found to be ineligible, decline to accept the screener tickets or who are unable to be contacted (including failing to return phone calls or emails) within two (2) business days of the draw will forfeit the tickets and another eligible entrant will be selected.

  10. DRAW: The random draw will take place on March 16, 2012 in Toronto. The selected entrant will be notified by text or email and will be required to email back to a Vervegirl staff member. If the selected entrant cannot be reached within two (2) business days, incorrectly answers the skill-testing question, or fails to complete and return the required contest documents, he/she will forfeit the prize and an alternate entrant will be randomly selected.
  11. AWARDING OF PRIZES: To be declared a winner, a selected entrant must, in addition to meeting the Eligibility Criteria (Section 2 above) and otherwise complying with the Official Rules and Regulations of this Contest, within 2 days of being contacted, complete and return to Youth Culture (YC) a Contest Consent form, releasing the Contest Sponsors and their respective directors, officers and agents from all liability and, except where prohibited by law, permitting YC to use the selected entrant’s name, address (city and province) and image, without compensation, and in perpetuity, in any and all forms of media now known or hereafter devised, including the Internet, in any publicity carried out by YC. If the selected entrant is under the age of majority, the Contest Consent form must be signed and submitted by his or her parent or legal guardian. Youth Culture has the sole authority and discretion to determine whether a Contest Consent form has been properly executed and has the sole authority and discretion to accept or refuse a Contest Consent form that has not been properly executed. Following receipt of the selected entrant’s signed Contest Consent form the Contest Sponsors or its representatives will send the Prize to the winner.
  12. No correspondence will be entered into, except with potential winners of this Contest.
  13. The Contest Sponsors, their affiliates, franchisees and each of their directors, officers, employees and agents are not in any way responsible for any lost, misplaced, destroyed, delayed, misdirected or undelivered Entries.
  14. Minors: Where the selected entrant is under the age of majority in his/her province of residence, as a pre-condition to the selected entrant being declared the winner and receiving the prize (or the guest being entitled to participate in the prize, where applicable), the parent or legal guardian of the selected entrant (and/or guest, where applicable) must consent in writing to the selected entrant being declared a winner and receiving a prize (and/or the guest participating in the prize, where applicable) and must also sign and return to the Contest Sponsor the Contest Consent form documentation.
  15. Odds of Winning: The odds of winning the Contest are dependent on the total number of eligible and valid Entries received during the Contest Period, in each of the respective provinces.
  16. All decisions of the Contest Sponsors are final and cannot be reviewed or in any way appealed. Awards to potential winners have no cash surrender value. The Contest Sponsors reserve the right to make reasonable substitutions for all or any portion of the Prizes.
  17. The Contest Sponsors reserve the right to withdraw, amend, terminate or suspend in whole or in part this Contest at any time without prior notice and without liability.
  18. By joining this mobile program, consent is given to the collection, use and distribution of the personal information disclosed, by the Contest Sponsors for the purposes of running the Contest (information is stored for approximately 1 year). Contest Sponsors will not sell, share or transmit this information to third parties except for the purposes of administering the Contest. Any inquiry concerning the personal information held by the Contest Sponsors should be addressed to the Contest Sponsors.
  19. Dispute – Canadian Residents: Any dispute respecting the conduct or organization of this publicity Contest shall be submitted to the Youth Culture, 651 Queen St. East, Toronto, Ontario, for resolution. For the online entry, in the event of a dispute regarding who submitted an on-line Entry, the Entry will be deemed submitted by the owner of the e-mail account on the On-Line Entry Form. For the text entry, in the event of a dispute regarding who submitted text Entry, the Entry will be deemed submitted by the owner of the registered mobile phone number.
  20. The following definitions apply throughout the Contest Rules. Where words are defined in the singular, the plural of that word has a comparable meaning; where words are defined in the plural, the singular form of that word has a comparable meaning. The possessive form of a word also has a comparable meaning to that word.
    • ” On-Line Entry Form” means the form completed and submitted on the Web sites [www.vervegirl.com];
    • “Entrant” means the person whose name and applicable personal information are entered on a Application Form and “Potential Winner ” means an Entrant who has been selected as a potential Contest Winner;
    • “Promotion Sponsor” means Youth Culture Inc., its publications and the media and promotional partners of Youth Culture Inc., and each of their respective affiliates, directors, officers, employees and agents.
