Footloose directed by Craig Brewer

I’m a dancer so I’ve always love dance movies the way others many not, but this wasn’t like any other dance movie I’ve seen before. I’m a dancer so I always love dance movies the way others many not, but this wasn’t like any other dance movie I’ve seen before. The plot had way more depth beyond choreography, which some dance movies can lack in.

From the opening credits Footloose had my full attention, and didn’t lose it the whole movie. I fell in with the characters, especially the geeky Wilard would couldn’t dance. The problems the characters faced were honest and relatable. It was a teen movie but dealt with mature topics.

A lot of girls could relate to Ariel’s character who is struggling to find herself after tragedy strikes her town. Everyone will fall in love with Ren’s character not just for his good looks but for his sarcastic attitude but genuine heart that would win over anyone.

By the end of the movie I wanted to get up and dance to the famous footloose song… Don’t worry you don’t have to love dance to love this movie. Everyone needs to see it, it’s truly amazing!
