Recently, I had the amazing opportunity of attending Canada’s first Fashion’s Night Out with Kaaren, the publisher of Vervegirl magazine, and a wonderful role model who I aspire to be like one day! First on our party-hopping list was the Maybelline Canada party and premiere of fashion documentary titled, “Dressed.” The film is a compelling story about a young, emerging fashion designer named Nary Manivong and his struggles and successes in the competitive world of fashion. I highly recommend all you vervegirls to watch the film! On the rooftop party there were makeup artists galore, touching up everybody’s lips to ensure the perfect pout throughout the evening! There was even a media wall where people can get their picture taken by a professional photographer and feel like a superstar!
On to the next event, Kaaren and I headed to Toronto’s Distillery District to attend the Mini cooper/Puma party! There was live music and even a self-service french fry buffet! I heard rumours that the Avenue reality show cast and crew would be making an appearance at the venue, and was beyond excited to see if this would be true. A couple hours later I saw none other than the super leggy Gregory Gorgeous, stepping in with 5 inch high heels, and lighting up the entire room with his tremendous smile with Arta by his side! Little did I know that they would be taping a scene at the party itself, and that I WOULD BE MAKING MY FIRST REALITY SHOW CAMEO! I was thrilled when the crew asked if i’d like to be in the scene, chatting up Arta. Make sure to keep your eyes peeled for me on season 2 of The Avenue, airing in November! My night at Fashion’s Night Out was nothing short of amazing, and i can’t wait until my next adventure as a Vervegirl reporter!
