Falling for New Workouts this Season

Something about fall just seems to light a fire under our summer-ized (read: slothful) butts. But there’s no way we’re spending another boring hour
on a treadmill at a gym. No way. Instead we’re looking at different ways to get moving and get back to our fit and healthy selves.

For starters, there’s a Capoeira Bootcamp that looks pretty amazing. The Afro-Brazillian mix of martial arts, music and dance promises an intense workout — but also enough fun that we won’t even know how hard we’re working.

For days when the weather’s too nice to be inside, the Toronto Bicycle Network leads group bike tours (and inline skating tours, too) through city neighbourhoods, stopping for food/sightseeing along the way.

And for something really challenging, we might consider the seriously demanding team sport of dragon boat racing. Check out this site for a thorough list of Canadian teams currently paddling and competing.
