Make a difference with Fair Trade Certified Cadbury Dairy Milk
We all have a sweet tooth. Now you can help improve the lives of cocoa farmers and their families by choosing a Fair Trade Certified Cadbury Dairy Milk bar.
By Katherine Wong Too Yen
Canadians love their chocolate! In this country, close to 22,000,000 Cadbury Dairy Milk bars are sold every year. With Cadbury bringing Fair Trade Certified bars to chocolate-lovers across the nation, now you have another reason to go ahead and indulge your sweet tooth.
Cadbury’s commitment to fair trade almost doubles the amount of Fair Trade Certified chocolate sold in Canada. By choosing their certified Dairy Milk bars, you can make a positive change in the lives of 60,000 cocoa farmers in Ghana. A portion of proceeds earned from the Dairy Milk sales goes towards giving these farmers better access to clean water, improved healthcare, and allows them to enhance their education. These are all basic necessities that many of us take for granted. The money is used for building wells, training farmers, and providing mobile health clinics in the area—all tools that can give Ghanaian farmers a brighter future.
Fair trade certified chocolate used to be found only in specialty stores and boutiques. With these certified chocolate bars being sold to Canadians coast-to-coast, Cadbury’s fair trade announcement increases awareness among consumers everywhere and makes it easier to do the right thing by joining in the fair trade movement.
Look for the green and blue fair trade symbol on packages of Cadbury Dairy Milk chocolate bars and feel good about making a difference!

Oddbird Designs at Fresh CollectiveA day spent shopping is -- by definition -- a good day, in our opinion. But when we can add something unique and really cute to our wardrobe and support a local designer at the same time, it's a really, really good day. Which is why we're totally crushing on local design company Oddbird Designs, makers of comfy cotton dresses, skirts and tops adorned (this season) with adorable wildlife prints.
