Irina Funtikova looks back on her hectic preparation for NYC Fashion Week

Model On The Move

Well, New York Fashion Week was pretty hectic but well worth it, loved every minute of it, and yes a little crazed, but that's what makes it so exciting!

A typical day would start at 7 a.m. I wake up, wash my face and brush my teeth.

I take 20 minutes to do morning exercises and 10 minutes for stretches. I shower after that, blow dry my hair, put on a little bit of makeup  - light concealer and powder, with mascara and lipgloss. At castings they do NOT want to see a “done up” look!
Breakfast is usually cereal, a cup of tea and a fruit. I'll have yogurt or a bagel sometimes, or eggs. If really tired I'll make a cup of coffee.

I leave the house by 9 and go to the agency for 9:30.  I grab more of my composites and the schedule for the day. Most of the time I can get the schedule online the day before, but best to check with the agency for day of changes.

First casting usually starts at 10a.m. Between the castings I would grab a sandwich and a drink from a deli. Several times a day I’d pick up snacks like nuts and ice cream. Then at the evening shows I would have dinner.

On the subway I either listen to my iPod or read a book. During Fashion Week I was reading was Deception Point by Dan Brown.
