Thinking of investigating a potential university or college? No need to fork over your savings to get across the country in person. Thanks to Maclean's magazine, you can check out everything you need to know online during the OnCampus Virtual Fair -- free to registrants -- on Oct. 22.

The info and presentations will be online for 90 days afterward so students can check everything out on their own schedules.

One of the things we'll definitely be looking forward to is a presentation by Dr. Vincent Lam.

Vincent finished his medical school training in Toronto and works as an emergency physician in Toronto’s East General Hospital.
On one of his international air evacuation expeditions, Dr. Vincent had the opportunity to meet Margaret Atwood and as a result his first book of interconnected short stories titled Bloodletting & Miraculous Cures came to be.

In 2006 Lam was the youngest writer to have won the Canada Scotiabank Giller Prize, one of Canada’s most prestigious awards. Vincent is now working on his first novel titled Cholon, Near Forgotten with a launch date yet to be announced.

Be sure to check out Dr. Vincent Lam's presentation on Oct 22.
