If we were just a bit more organized, it’d be great to make all of our own soaps and body lotions. We’d know what was in them and they’d smell delicious and unique. But until we, oh, win the lottery and hire a personal assistant to free up some time in the day, we’re content with the handmade soaps, body butters and lotions we score from Soapscope Inc. (297 Roncesvalles Ave., 416 588-8621).
The shop makes gorgeous soap bars in every colour you can think of, rich body butters and avocado-based body lotions. There are dozens of not-so-average scents to choose from, but our favourites for summer include Beach Blanket (a mix of papaya and coconut) and Burst (an energizing hit of mango and orange).
