Faux Glow Guide

Every well-informed Vervegirl knows that faux is the better way to go when you want a summer tan. But how to avoid a streaky, orange self-tanning disaster? Lots of exfoliation, plenty of moisturizer, and a really good quality self-tanner.
Every well-informed Vervegirl knows that faux is the better way to go when you want a summer tan. But how to avoid a streaky, orange self-tanning disaster? Lots of exfoliation, plenty of moisturizer, and a really good quality self-tanner. Here are three that make our list of can't-fail faves:

L'oréal Sublime Bronze Body Milk goes on so smoothly there's none of the usual "Have I got it on evenly?" drama that accompanies many brands.

Coppertone Endless Summer Sunless Tanning Moisturizing Lotion is kind of like cheating, it’s so easy to use. It’s mostly a lotion with just a hint of self-tanner, so when we used it for a week we got a gradual, goof-proof glow.

And finally, for our fancier moods, we’re partial to Origins the Great Pretender Shimmery Self-Tanner. It smells better than most, for starters, and the immediate shine it gives our skin allows for extra-instant gratification.
