Career Profile: Jeremy Mcdonald

Jeremy Mcdonald is an associate producer for CBC News: Today and CBC Newsworld.

As a segment producer his jobs includes conducting pre-interviews, tracking down news makers for interviews, creating information packages for his guests, and working with all the CBC departments. Because of his brother’s recommendation, Jeremy attended the University of Western Ontario where he studied Media, Information, and Technoculture.

A month long internship requirement at the University had placed him at CBC news interning for the show that he now works for. Everyday is a new challenge for Jeremy and he enjoys waking up in the morning not knowing what will happen or what the day of news will bring.

As intense as the deadlines and pressures are, he always remembers that the three most important things in his life will always be his faith, family and car.
